The Foraging Walk

€5.00

Join Lorraine from Gallivanting.ie as she brings you on a walk to identify and learn about some of the plants and trees growing in and around Courtown Woods. Discover which common leaf can transform into soap with just a little water, what plant actually cures nettle stings , which one smells like smoky bacon and how to make spruce sherbert!

This is an identification and tasting walk only, we will not be harvesting much, just learning and tasting so that on future walks, or even in your own garden, you might use a plant in a new way! So leave the basket at home but bring your phone to record and take photographs;

This walk is suitable for all ages, however it is not recommended for very small children or buggies

Staring point at the Seal Rescue Ireland/Active Tribe Car Park

Duration 1 hour (May go longer if there are lots of questions!)

All funds raised go towards further projects and more community events
