Every month, the Wexford Walking Trails, together with Wexford County Council, Healthy Wexford and the Irish Farmers’ Association the Country Connects Walks. These are wonderful walks showcasing each of the Walking Trails in turn and also giving you the opportunity to get out and explore a new route, meet fellow walkers and just overall enjoy a lovely healthy and fun day out!
And this month, we are showcasing the Courtown Kiltennel Woodland Walk!
If you have not walked this route yet, this is the perfect time!
We meet at the Trail Head (details below) at 2pm, the trail is categorised as Easy and can be completed in under 2 hours. There will be tea, coffee, and biscuits for all at the end
This unique coastal trail is one of the country’s only wooded dune systems in Ireland and is a
site of ecological importance. A beautiful walk along by the sea with lots of flora and fauna
to enjoy.
Dogs welcome but the route is unsuitable for buggies or wheelchairs, unfortunately.
This is a free event and doesn’t require registration!
