The History Walk

€5.00

Barry Lacey is the Historian-in-Residence with Wexford Library and Archive Service and is charged with the promotion and awareness of the Decade of Centenaries and the collections of Wexford County Library and Archives.  Also a professional Archaeologist and OPW Guide, you can be sure that this will be an interesting walk and one that will book out quickly!

Barry has run similar walks in Gorey, Enniscorthy, New Ross and Wexford and so we are very excited to have him run, not one but two walks here!

Barry will be taking us on a journey into the past as we discover the hidden history of Courtown and Riverchapel during the early part of the 20th century. Highlighting places where ammunition was stored, gun fights were fought and our Independence was won

Barry is running two walks, each one covering a different route. so join both walks if you are really interested in learning about the areas history. He may even be joined by a special guest with further insights,
